RIU Hotels: half a million members with their customer card
Three years on from its start, the card for being faithful to the
RIU, hotel chain, called "Riu Class", has obtained the figure of 500,000
members. The card is shared amongst the clients who request it, and who in this way receive points for their stays that be changed
in future visits for certain extras expenses, that they do not need to pay then.
At this moment the chain, with 86 hotels in 10 countries and 1.2 million clients registered in 1999, has an index of global repetition
of 35%, considered to be the highest in international hostelry.
