Autumn Concerts of the Jeunesses Musicales from Maó

The Jeunesses Musicales from Maó begin this weekend the programme of Autumn Concerts 2003, featuring seven performances until December 30. The first concert, on Saturday October 25 at 8 p.m. in Sa Nostra will be by Stanislav Luks (violin) and Jakub Metelka (piano), winners of the "Concertino Praga" contest.

In November there will be three concerts. On Friday 7 at 8.30 in Sa Nostra, Miguel Méndez (clarinet) and Alejo Amoedo (piano). The programme continues on Saturday 15 at 8 p.m. also in Sa Nostra, with Francesc Aguiló (contrabass) and Marta Ambrós (piano). An on November 22, Saturday, at 8 p.m. in Sa Nostra, there will be a guitar concert by Roberto Morón.

In December the three last concerts will be held. On Saturday, December 6 at 8 pm. in Sa Nostra, Jordan Tejedor (violin) will play accompanied by a pianist to be announced. And on Friday, December 12 at 8.30, the venue will be the Ateneu, and the guest artists, Guillermo Salcedo (fagot) and Tito Garcia (piano). Finally, the Orquestra de Cambra Illa de Menorca, conducted by Barry Sargent will close the series on December 30 at 9 p.m. in the Teatre Principal.

All the concerts are free.
