The autochthonous breeds of Menorca

The Sa Nostra cultural hall in Maó is presenting until June 21 the exhibition "La vaca vermella i altres races autòctones de Menorca" (The red cow and other autochthonous breeds of Menorca), organised by the GOB with the collaboration from Sa Nostra and the Council of Agriculture and General Direction for Biodiversity of the Balearic Government.

The exhibition, aimed at all members of the public, is an interactive installation that has the objective of introducing what is an autochthonous breed and to inform on the four Menorcan species of the exhibition: the cow, the sheep, the hen and the horse, a valuable heritage of the island of Menorca from the environment, cultural and biodiversity points of view.

The entrance is free and the visiting times are Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, and from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m., and on Saturdays from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m.
