The choir Illa de Menorca has prepared a concert with orchestra, dedicated
to
Francesc de Borja Moll,
that will be presented on Saturday, April 5, at 9 p.m., in the church of
Santa Eulàlia in Alaior, and on Sunday 6, at 8 p.m. in the Teatre
Principal de Maó.
The concert, that is part of the year
Any
Borja Moll, is called "La paraula feta música" (word made music)
and will include musical compositions and texts by authors from the Catalan
speaking area. The aim is to hold an homage to the illustrious Menorcan
offering a geographical trip that begins on Menorca and ends in Catalunya,
passing through Mallorca, Eivissa and Valencia, covering a wide variety
of musical styles: popular songs, "nova cançó", lied, choir
works, operetta and oratory.
The event is sponsored by the

Menorca and the town councils of
Alaior
and
Maó.
