From January 29 to February 2, the Parque Ferial Juan Carlos I in Madrid
will hold the Feria Internacional de Turismo (
FITUR),
which is one of the most important tourist fairs in the world.
FITUR has several speciality sections: FITUR KNOW HOW (Salon for Tourist
Information), that includes a significant number of e-tourism firms; FITUR
ACTIVO, in its sections of Nature, Adventure and Culture;
FITUR
CONGRESOS, the section dedicated to congress tourism that will be held
previously on January 27 and 28; and FITUR RESIDENCIAL, a new section dedicated
to Residential Tourism.
The
Balearic Government participates
in FITUR with a stand promoting the Balearic Island as a tourist destination.
The stand has 700 m2 divided in specific areas for each of the islands
and some of the most important tourist areas. This year, Eivissa also participates
in the stand of the group Ciudades Patrimonio de la Humanidad, where the
sites
declared
World Heritage by the UNESCO are presented.
