Remembering the paintings of Alejandre and Benejam

The Fundación Sa Nostra with collaboration from the Maó Town Council and the Ciutadella Town Council has organised the exhibition  "Dos pintors centenaris en el record. Miguel Alejandre i Bernat Benejam".

The exhibition is a retrospective one dedicated to the work of the two Menorcan artists, Miguel Alejandre and Bernat Benejam. Both self taught artists were born in 1902 in Maó and Ciutadella respectively, and died in the eighties after becoming very popular artists who promoted art amongst the general public.

The exhibition opened on September 26 simultaneously in the Sala de Cultura Sa Nostra in Ciutadella with work by Benejam, which will remain open until October 19, 2002, and at the Palau Saura in Ciutadella with work by Alejandre, that will remain open until October 26, 2002. Afterwards, the retrospective exhibition will move to the Sala de Cultura Sa Nostra in Maó, where it will be available from October 31 to November 25, 2002.

Visiting times:

- Palau Saura. From Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.

- Sala de Cultura Sa Nostra in Ciutadella. From Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to midday and 6.30 to 8.30 p.m.  Saturdays from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m.

- Sala de Cultura Sa Nostra in Maó. From Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to midday and from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m.  Saturdays from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m.
