The Teatre Principal in Maó will hold next Sunday, April 14,
at 8 p.m. a musical show based on popular songs from Menorca and all the
Balearics.
The artists who will interpret this exceptional concert are the Cor
Illa de Menorca, the soloist singers Martina Garriga (soprano and director
of the Choir), Josep M. Olives (tenor) and Paulino Maria (baritone), and
the dancers Antoni Garriga and Hemínia Martí. The concert,
that will have musical accompaniment by piano, flute, violin, guitar, laud,
bandurria and percussion, will be conducted by Antoni Pons Morlà.
The event forms part of the celebration for the Any Albranca, promoted
by the Menorcan Council, supported by different Menorcan institutions,
to pay tribute to the doctor and folklorist, Fancesc Camps i Mercadal (Es
Migjorn Gran, 1852-1929), better known as Francesc d'Albranca.
The entrance prices are popular and go from 3 to 9 euros.
