"Mid Summer Night's Dream" at the Teatre Principal

The Teatre Principal in Maó will hold this weekend the presentation of the play "Somni d'una Nit d'Estiu" by William Shakespeare, a co-production by the Menorcan group La Clota-Groc and the Mallorcan company Teatre Educatiu. There will be three performances: on Friday 14 and Saturday 15, at 10 p.m., and on Sunday 16, at 8 p.m.

"Somni d'una Nit d'Estiu" is the first theatre production between Menorca and Mallorca, and has the support of the institutions from both islands. The director is Pitus Fernández and the actors Catarina Alorda, Luca Bonadei, Salvador Oliva, Camil Casanovas, Diana de Guzman, Maritxell Morera, Josep Mercadal, Rodo Gener and Querat Albinyana.

The play premiered on November within the XXVI Premi Born de Teatre, obtaining a great response by the public and the critic. Since then it has ben presented in Eivissa and in Alcúdia, and the performances continue in different theatres in Mallorca. In January the production will tour the Canaries Islands in its Spanish version and there are also performances programed at the Teatro Cervantes de Valladolid, at the Teatro Imperial de Sevilla, in Màlaga, etc.
