The Boban Markovic Orkestar at the Teatre Principal

The Teatre Principal in Maó will hold from November 22 to 24 three concerts by the brass band Boban Markovic Orkestar, organised by the Fundación "la Caixa" with the support from the Maó Town Council. The two first concerts, on Thursday and Friday, are aimed at schools and will take place in the morning. The third, that will be held on Saturday 24 at 6 p.m. is for the general public.

The Boban Markovic Orkestar, led by the trumpeter Boban Markovic and comprising a dozen musicians in all, has been considered for over ten years to be the best brass band from Serbia. Combining on the same stage the sounds of the trumpet and the violin, the orchestra approaches the audience to the traditional music of the Balkan gypsies.
