The Teatre Principal in
Maó
will hold next Saturday, October 27 at 10 p.m., a jazz concert by the
Big
Latin Band. The performance by the Big Latin Band, part of the
Festival
Internacional de Jazz de Menorca that is organised every year by the
cultural association
Jazz
Obert, will substitute the concert by
Danilo
Pérez, foreseen in this year's programme.
The Big Latin Band, founded in the winter of 1996 via the initiative
of
Ramon Escalé and Roger
Font, stands out for its originality and fresh approach to music. With
fourteen musicians on the stage, this Barcelona formation is part of two
worlds, Latin and Jazz, concentrating its efforts in rhythmic forcefulness,
by the melodic wealth of the arrangements and the musical quality of the
soloists.
