The Balearic Parliament passes the Law of Commerce

The Balearic Parliament passes the Law of Commerce
The projected Law of Controlling the Commercial Activity in the Balearics was passed on Tuesday, June 5, by the Parliament of the Balearics (PIB) with votes in favour of the MPs of the parliamentary majority, the Progress Pact, and the votes against from the Popular Party, as they consider this norm to be interventionist and that the regulation of the commercial hours with a maximum of 72 hours a week invades the state authority.

The Law of Controlling the Commercial Activity in the Balearics will enter into validity as from the day after its publication in the official Gazette for the Balearics (BOIB), except for article 8.2 that will not enter until January 1, 2002 and article 8.3 and article 19 that will not be valid until January 1, 2003.
