European Day of Parks

The European Day of Parks will be held next May 24, an initiative promoted by The EUROPARC Federation – Europe's umbrella organisation of protected areas, with members in 34 European countries..

All countries in Europe, EUROPARC member organisations, protected area administrations, government authorities responsible for parks, and non-governmental conservation organisations are now called upon to celebrate this occasion again on 24th May 2001. The theme for this year's Day of Parks is: "Young People in Protected Areas - Living Heritage for Europe".

To celebrate this event several activities have been programmed for next May 24 that will be held at the S'Albufera Natural Parc in Mallorca.
