The chamber orchestra "Les Violons du Roi David", founded in Jerusalem in 1992 by musicians from the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, is formed by emigrants of the old Soviet Union. Their repertoire goes from the baroque to contemporary music.

Conducted by Anita Kamien since 1997, they have obtained great success in their tours round Japan, France, Belgium, Thailand, Corea, the Philippines, Singapore and USA. They perform in a wide variety of combination, from trios to a small orchestra with soloist, which lets them programme an exceptionally wide repertoire of works.

For this tour of the Islands, the orchestra has contracted a great violinist, Emil Israel Chudnovsky, which gives even greater prestige and interest to the concerts.
