Carnival activities in Ciutadella

On February 19, "Dijous Llarder", the activities to celebrate the Carnival will begin. From this day until February 24, all the Menorcan towns will celebrate the fiesta with children's activities, street parades and fancy dress balls.

In Ciutadella the activities will begin on Friday 20 at 8 p.m. with a "Ball de Tapadets" in the youth club Gent Jove, organised by the Grup Folklòric Tramuntana. This will be followed by a street parade performed by AMIC that will arrive at the theatre Casino 17 de Gener, where the "Ball de Carnaval" will be held, with music by the Mallorcan band Tumbet de Solfa.

On Saturday, there will be activities all throughout the day, starting in the morning with children's entertainment outside the theatre Casino 17 de Gener, and ending with the traditional "Ball de Tapadets" in the same theatre, with music by the Grup Folklòric Arrels de Sant Joan.

On Sunday as from 17:00 h there will be a grand fancy dress parade and the activities will continue until Tuesday, February 24.
