Next Saturday, June 14 at 9 p.m., in the Cathedral Square in Ciutadella
there will be the presentation of the children's book/CD "Tabaluga viatja
buscant el seny" with the voices of the tenor
Josep
Carreras (narration) and of the vocalist of Ja T'ho Dirè and
Menaix
a Truà, Cris Juanico (songs). The presentation will by by Cris
Juanico.
The new work, produced jointly by the record company
BMG
and the editorial
Beascoa, is aimed
at children between 5 and 10 years old and tells the story of the little
dragon, Tabaluga, in a journey in which he must conquer his Peter Pan syndrome.
Tabaluga is a character of the
cartoons created originally in Germany in 1983 by the rock star
Peter
Maffay and the artists Helme Heine, Rolf Zuckowski and Gregor Rottschalk.
The profit generated by the book/CD will go to the Peter Maffay foundation,
dedicated to offering support to children traumatised by violence, sexual
abuse and serious illnesses. The Foundation has had a refuge centre in
Pollença since 2002.
