The V International Jazz Festival of Menorca starts

On Friday, March 28, at 7 p.m. in the hall of the Social Centre of "Sa Nostra" in Ciutadella, there will be the presentation of the fifth edition of the International Jazz Festival of Menorca organised by Jazz Obert. The Councillor for Culture of the Menorcan Insular Council, the councillors for culture of the Ciutadella council, Maó and other towns on the island will participate in the event, together with the members of the Board of Jazz Obert.

Afterwards, in the same Centre, the exhibition of photographs by Gerardo Cañellas, will be opened, with the title "Jazz Voyeur" and the presence of the artist. The exhibition will remain open until April 30 and is a trip through the history of Jazz in the last 20 years via scenes captured by this Mallorcan photographer.

Finally, the same Friday night, there will be an opening concert of the Festival, by the Mallorcan group, S'Arrual Jazz Mort, in the Casino 17 de Gener, at 10 p.m.

With these three events, and other parallel activities that have been organised by Jazz Obert, such as a Jazz Workshop in the Highschools, this fifth edition will start and last until June 7, with a total of five concerts:
