Over eight thousand people of all ages participated on Saturday in
Menorca in the demo against the war in Iraq. Approximately four thousand
persons demonstrated in the morning in Ciutadella, Maó, Sant Lluís
and Ferreries and over four thousands citizens participated in the demo
held in Maó.
The massive attendance at the demonstrations against the war that this
Saturday have been held in the main cities all over the world is, for many
observers, a clear and conclusive reflection from a society that wants
to participate directly in the matters that affects it. People from
all over the world who respond in a global way in solidarity to a
challenge to humanity, such as living in peace.
