The Grup Artístic La Salle de Alaior presents "Virgo Potens" in Maó

The play "Virgo Potens" by the Grup Artístic La Salle de Alaior will reach Maó this weekend. The group, that also plans to bring the play to Mallorca, will perform the new production in the Sala Augusta, on Saturday at 9 p.m. and on Sunday at 8 p.m.

The play, written by the Mallorcan playwright Joan Amer and directed by Domènec Enric, has already been presented successfully on several occasions in Alaior. The theme of the play is the struggle between the Duchess Virgo Potens and her servant, when this the latter decides to become an opera singer.

The entrance is 6 euros for the general public and 5 euros for pensioners. The tickets can be acquired in advance at the box office of the Sala Augusta and in the Ferreteria Pons in Maó, and Ses Tres Germanes in Alaior.
