IV International Jazz Festival of Menorca

The cultural association, Jazz Obert will start next Saturday, September 14, the IV International Jazz Festival of Menorca. Five concerts make up the poster this year with the participation of well known artists such as Kurt Rosenwinkel, Suso González, Stefano Di Battista, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Mark Turner. The venues will be the Casino 17 de Gener in Ciutadella, the Teatre des Born in Ciutadella and the Teatre Principal in Maó.

The festival programme, that will last until October 26, will be complemented by different performances of "Jazz in the Street" in Ciutadella, Maó and Ferreries, by S'Arrual Jazz Mort and the Ensemble de l'Agrupació Musical de Ciutadella.

Jazz Obert has also programmed, amongst other activities, an exhibition of the works presented for the Poster Competiton, that will open in the Sala Jeroni Marquès of the Cercle Artístic de Ciutadella on October 18, at 7 p.m., followed by the conference "John Coltrane, la música Extática", given by Alejandro Cifuentes.
