The Teatre Principal in Maó will hold on Wednesday, April 17,
at 9.30 p.m., the theatrical performance of "The Fall" by Albert
Camus, in Catalan, presented by
Moma
Teatre and the
Teatre Nacional de
Catalunya. The production is part of the "Festival Teatres de Món"
promoted by the
Balearic Government and
it will also be staged at the
Auditòrium
de Palma, on April 13 and 14, and at the Espai Cultural Can Ventosa
in Eivissa, on Saturday 27.
The famous monologue by the French author is performed by Francesc Orella,
directed by Carles Alfaro, and the translation and adaptation of the work
is by Rodolf Sirera. The action is set in a
sad bar in Amsterdam, where
the man who does the talking confesses his past life, upon a tragic event
that he witnessed in Paris, pointing out that we should not judge others
before we assess our own balance sheets.
