Friesian Cow Contest in Alaior

Once again, Alaior will celebrate the Friesian Cow Morphologic Contest, within the "Fira del Camp"; an important meeting for the rural sector that groups the farmers from Menorca and some others from the rest of the islands.

The contest reaches this year its XVI edition, organised by the Alaior Town Council with the support from the Asociación Frisona Balear, and will take place on March 16 and 17, at the Trotxa industrial estate.

As usual, the first day begins very early in the morning with the reception and documentation of animals, and with the evaluations that continue throughout the day. The second day, Sunday, is more festive and includes the celebration of the contest, exhibitions and the prize giving ceremony.
