The Caixa Foundation has organised two concerts for Easter that will
be held on March 30 and 31, at the Ciutadella Cathedral and at the Teatre
Principal in Maó, respectively.
The first, that will take place on Saturday 30, at the Teatre Principal,
at 7 p.m. will have the participation of the Orquestra de Cambra "Illa
de Menorca", conducted by Fernando Marina, and the Cor de la Capella Davídica,
conducted by Gabriel Barceló. The soloists Raquel Lojendio (soprano),
Eulàlia Salbanyà (contralto), Vicenç Esteve (tenor)
and David Rubieda (bass) will take part. They will interpret
"The Passion" by Haydn, and "Exultate Jubilate" and "Coronation Mass" by
Mozart.
The second concert will be held on Sunday 31, at 8 p.m. at the Teatre
Principal in Maó, with the same artists and repertoire.
The concerts have the collaboration of the Town Councils and the
Juventudes Musicales of the two Menorcan towns.
