2002 season by the association Amics de s'Òpera de Maó

The Teatre Principal in Maó will hold during Holy Week the first two productions of the 2002 Opera Season, organised by the association Amics de s'Òpera in Maó. On Wednesday, 27, at 9 p.m., they will present "The Magic Flute" by Mozart in a concert version by the Szeged Symphony Orchestra and soloists of the Opera of Budapest, directed by Sándor Gyüdi. And on Thursday, 28, at 10 p.m. the same people will perform the "Stabat Mater" by Rossini.

Within the 2000 Opera Season programme, there will be two more productions: on May 22, 24 and 26, "La Boheme" by Puccini, by the Orquestra Simfònica de Balears; and at the beginning of December, "Simon Boccanegra" by Verdi, also by the Simfònica de Balears and the baritone Joan Pons.
