The Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology has drafted, together
with the ministries of Justice, Economy and the Home Office, a new Digital
Signing Law, that will substitute the Real Decreto-Ley 14/1999, of september
17.
The new law is based on the Directive 1999/93/CE and takes in account
the new technological and juridical advances achieved, introducing, amongst
other novelties, the electronic DNI regulation and the certificate of juridical
entities.
The Ministry of Science and Technology has published the proposed legislation
on the Internet, and until the end of January, 2002, comments can be sent
via email.
