"Si un día me olvidaras" at the Teatre des Born

The Municipal Theatre des Born in Ciutadella will hold this weekend the play "Si un día me olvidaras", by Raúl Hernández Garrido, winner of the Premi Born de Teatre 2000. The production, by Astilleros y Centauro Teatro, reaches Menorca as part of the programme of the present edition of the Premi Born, organised by Cercle Artístic.

"Si un día me olvidaras" is a daring and vanguard production with elements of classical mythology and tragedy, that deals with the suffering, about torture inflicted by men on men. The stars are a woman who is seeking a possible "brother", disappeared together with her parents in an operation by a bloody dictatorship, and two "brothers", sons of people connected to these operations. One is the biological son of the torturers and the other is the "brother" of the woman born in captivity and torn from her parents. The woman wants to recover her brother to erase all the inherited horror, but the brothers interchange stories and she discovers in her enemy the "brother" she was looking for so much.

The performances will take place on Saturday 8 at 9 p.m. and Sunday 9 at 7.30 p.m.
