The
Orquestra
de Cambra "Illa de Menorca" will offer a concert on November 24 at
9.30 p.m., at the
Teatre d'Artà,
with the support of the Obra Social i Cultural de Sa Nostra and the Consorci
per al Foment de la Llengua Catalana i la Projecció Exterior de
la Cultura de les Illes Balears.
The Orquestra de Cambra "Illa de Menorca", formed in 1998 by Joventuts
Musicals de Maó, groups the Menorcan musicians, living or not on
the island. Up to date the orchestra has realised eleven "stages" that
have produced twenty concerts: nine in Maó, six in Ciutadella, two
in Alaior, one in Ferreries and one in Son Servera.
Thanks to the technical and interpretative quality of the musicians
and to the baton of the conductor, Fernando Marina, the Orquestra de Cambra
"Illa de Menorca" has become the first stable orchestral group on Menorca.
