Concert by Ana María Sánchez and Simon Orfila

Next Friday, November 9, at 9 p.m. the Teatre Principal in Maó will hold a lyrical concert by the soprano from Alicante, Ana María Sánchez, and the Menorcan Bass Simon Orfila.

The concert is organised by Amics de s'Òpera de Maó, a cultural association based at the Maó Town Hall that has organised opera seasons at the Teatre Principal for 32 years. The association Amics de s'Òpera was commissioned to open the important refurbishment of the Teatre Principal, last June, with the opera "Falstaff" and with a lyrical concert.

The last weekend in December Amics de s'Òpera plan to offer a concert by the Catalan tenor, Jaume Aragall, and in 2002, they will present two operas, "La Boheme" in May and "Simon Boccanegra" in December.
