The Culture Hall of "Sa Nostra" in Maó will hold from October
18 to November 13 the exhibition "Qui coneix Xec Coll?"
The exhibition is a tribute to Xec Coll, an artist of many talents who
influenced the artistic and social world of the island of Menorca, and
in particular Ciutadella, his city, during the second half of the XX century.
Xec Coll excelled for his work as a graphic designer and for jewellery,
amongst other artistic activities, such as carrying out graphic jokes for
"Cap de Ponent". A man committed to his time and the democratic transition,
he also excelled for his activity in the field of neighbours' association,
as a founder member of the political group
PSM
and as the Councillor for Health in the first Insular Council of Menorca.
"
Sa Nostra", and
Ayuntamiento
de Ciutadella and the
Consell de Menorca,
with this itinerant exhibition that has been seen in Ciutadella, is paying
tribute to the discreet, committed and essentially artistic man, Xec Coll.
