International University of "Menorca Illa del Rei"

From September 10 to 14 at the Claustre del Carme in Maó, there will be the sixth edition of the International University of "Menorca Illa del Rei" (UIMIR) that includes an extensive programme of courses about varied subjects, such as archaeology, history, tourism, environment and cultural anthropology, amongst others.

The organisation of the UIMIR is by the Maó Town Council, the Barcelona University, the Balearic University and the Jaume I University, with the support of the Menorcan Council. Participation is open to anyone who wishes to go to the island to learn, debate and reflect. The pupils of the UIMIR can benefit from special discounts for the trip to Menorca and accommodation.

More over, as from September 17, the "36th European Symposium on Marine Biology" will take place in the Teatre Principal de Maó, organised by the UIMIR, the Institut de Ciències del Mar and the Environmental Department of the Universitat de Barcelona.
