The farmers seek new markets in Germany
The Councillor for Agriculture and Fisheries of the Govern, Joan Mayol, has opened a campaign to promote autochthonous products of the Balearics, that will take place between April 6 and 12 in eight of the main German cities.

The initiative, organised by the Instituto Balear de Desarrollo Industrial (IDI) and the local ministry of agriculture, will take place via the reservation of a space for exhibition and sale in the food section of the Kaufhof department stores in Cologne, Munich, Bonn, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Stuttgart and Hannover.

According to the councillor for Agriculture and Fisheries, Joan Mayol, with this campaign they hope to open stable marketing channels for Balearic agricultural food products, the consolidation and increase of the commerce of these Balearic firms in the German market.

A total of 25 Balearic firms are participating with over 50 products in the promotion campaign. These are:

- Pronatur Alimentaria: mixed, vegetarian and shell fish paella
- Sa Llubinera: capers
- Barquillos Galindo: wafers
- Can Matarino: 5 kinds of paté
- Vinagres Bora: white and red wine vinegar
- Can Det: virgin olive oil
- Dialma: water and virgin olive oil
- Almendras Capó: fig bread, fried and multicolour sugared almonds
- Santa Catarina: white, red and rosé wine
- Ca Nostra: honey
- La Tropical
- Bodegues i Destileries Suau
- Quely
- Xoriguer: gin from Menorca
- Can Montes: cured and semi cured and sheep's cheese
- Sa Canova: cheese from Mahon
- Macià Batle: red, white and rosé wine
- Palma Pan: bread and ensaimadas
- Postres Tudurí: almond cake
- Embotits Palma: chorizo, salchichón and jamón
- Román Serra: meat and belly pork
- Sobrassada Balear S.A.
- Dos Perellons: mesclat negre, palo and hierbas
- Mary Mayans: hierbas from Ibiza
